Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you accept medical aid?

The practice operates on a self-pay basis, independent of medical aid networks, so consultations stay focused on your care rather than insurer restrictions. Payment is required at the time of consultation, and an invoice is provided so you can submit a claim directly to your medical aid or insurer, depending on your plan benefits.

Do you offer telehealth or video consultations?

Yes, teleconsults are available for suitable follow-ups and concerns that don't require an in-person examination. Contact the practice via WhatsApp or phone to check whether your concern is suitable for a teleconsult.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Appointments are recommended to avoid waiting times, but urgent concerns are accommodated where possible. WhatsApp or call ahead so the practice can fit you in.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Please bring a valid ID or passport, any relevant previous medical records or referral letters, a list of current medications, and your medical aid card if you'd like an invoice for a claim.

How do I book an appointment?

WhatsApp 066 429 3958 for bookings, or call 011 447 9233 and ask for Dr Olivia Visentin.

Do you offer home visits?

Yes, home visits are available for patients who are unable to travel to the practice. See the Check-ups, Home Visits & Teleconsults page for details.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please let the practice know as early as possible via WhatsApp or phone if you need to cancel or reschedule, so the appointment can be offered to another patient.
