Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026. This policy explains how Dr Olivia Visentin's practice handles personal information collected through this website, WhatsApp, phone, and email, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What information is collected

When you contact the practice via WhatsApp, phone, or email to book or enquire about an appointment, we may collect your name, contact number, and the details of your enquiry. During a consultation, standard medical records are kept as required by law and professional regulations.

How it's used

Information you share is used only to arrange and provide your care — booking appointments, contacting you about your consultation, and maintaining accurate medical records. It is not sold or used for marketing without your consent.

WhatsApp bookings

Booking messages sent via WhatsApp are used solely to coordinate your appointment. WhatsApp is operated by a third party (Meta); please refer to WhatsApp's own privacy policy for how the platform itself handles message data in transit.

Medical records

Medical records are stored securely and treated as confidential, accessible only to those directly involved in your care, in line with HPCSA ethical guidelines and POPIA.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information (subject to legal record-keeping requirements for medical records) by contacting the practice directly.
