Who am I?

I qualified as a doctor at the University of the Witwatersrand and went on to complete my Diploma in Primary Emergency Care (SA), building a solid grounding in both everyday family medicine and urgent, hands-on care.

From January 2022 to December 2023, I completed my two-year internship at Tambo Memorial Hospital, rotating through nearly every discipline of medicine: six months in Emergency Medicine/Trauma and Family Medicine, three months each in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and General Surgery, and two months each in Anaesthesia, Orthopaedics, and Psychiatry. That breadth of exposure is exactly what general practice draws on daily — it's why a GP can be a first port of call for almost anything.

Afterwards, I completed my community service year at a rural district hospital in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga, including further time in anaesthesia. That kind of environment teaches you to think on your feet, treat the whole patient rather than just a set of symptoms, and never take good healthcare access for granted — lessons that still shape how I practise today.

Now based in Craighall Park, I focus on general practice for the whole family: from paediatric check-ups to chronic disease management, women's and men's health, mental health support, and everything in between. My approach is unhurried by design — I'd rather take the time to properly understand what's going on than rush you through a ten-minute slot.
